SGDJ and SG Discos has been established since 1999. Started by Sam Gould, we have been serving Cardiff and Penarth for many years. We have created this dedicated wedding website to represent the professionalism and variety we are able to offer clients. Our main customer base is from repeat custom and recommendation, which we feel speaks for itself.

Getting to know you
Before booking any event, we encourage you to meet with us. Let us take on board your vision, while at the same time sharing some of our experience and ideas. The best place to do this is at the venue, where we can talk through how and where we can set up and create the effect you are looking for. We have years of combined experience to help you make it a success. Whether we are providing evening only entertainment or all day services, sound only or a big disco set up with up lighting and dance floor, it is good to talk. By getting to know you we are better able to understand your needs.
Getting to know us
June Cecilia, Owner and DJ. If you contact us, it is usually June you will speak to. June has been DJing for 14 years. June has undergone numerous training courses, including one to enhance her skills as Master of Ceremonies. She is also a popular choice for Muslim Women only wedding parties where a female DJ is preferred.
June was an excellent DJ for our wedding dinner and party!
In the lead up to the day, she arranged calls with us and took an example list of song requests for the evening. From that she put together a brilliant setlist for us to dance the night away with our guests! She totally understood the vibe that we wanted and kept the dancefloor busy throughout the night.
The added touches of bringing party props and sending us some of her photos from the night only made it all the better. 🙂
I would happily recommend SGDJ to anyone planning a wedding. We had a fantastic night!

DJ Joff
Jonathan (DJ Joff) has been DJ-ing for 15 years providing discos, DJ-ing at night clubs and working as a sound technician in a wide range of venues throughout the UK. He has wide experience in a range of functions. He has an extensive knowledge of music from the 60s and 70s right up to modern day and is comfortable tailoring to a specific decade or genre.
Jonathan prides himself in providing a set that will match your needs, and also reads a dance floor effectively. For example, a few children’s party games to build up the atmosphere at the start of a family event. Also with an enhanced DBS and youth work experience.
Just to say how happy we were with Joff on 4th Nov. He played a cracking set and many positive comments from friends n family. Thanks again for helping us out. Number stored in phone for future reference! 😀

Just a quick note to say thank you for Saturday – we had a great time and the music was spot on in the day and night. Everyone was complimenting the playlists and the dance floor was full all evening, with Craig’s great aunty playing air guitar with her crutch!
